FFmpeg Local · runs on your machine
Your ffmpeg. In your browser, on your PC.
A free, open-source frontend for your own ffmpeg.exe. Remux, make Apple-Photos-ready MP4s with NVENC, strip or replace audio - all with a progress bar, cancel, and the exact command shown before it runs. Nothing is uploaded. No cloud, no account, no subscription.
Why keep it local
Your ffmpeg, called directly
The app builds a real command line and runs your ffmpeg.exe with no intermediate layer. You can copy every command it generates.
No cloud, no accounts
It serves one page on 127.0.0.1 and never makes an outbound network call. Your media stays on your machine.
100% free software
MIT-licensed, pure Python standard library (no pip packages). FFmpeg itself stays LGPL/GPL and is yours to choose.
Four workflows
Each one shows the exact command before running, streams live output, draws a progress bar from ffmpeg's time= field, and can be cancelled. Copy any command to run it by hand.
Remux / change audio
Copy the video stream untouched and re-encode the audio. AAC by default for MP4, or MP3, Opus, or plain audio copy.
ffmpeg -hide_banner -nostdin -y -i input.mov -map 0 -c:v copy -c:a aac -b:a 192k output.mp4
Apple Photos compatible MP4
H.264 in yuv420p with +faststart, ready for Photos, QuickTime and iPhone. Uses h264_nvenc on your GTX 1650 when present, with automatic fallback to libx264.
ffmpeg -hide_banner -nostdin -y -i input.mov -c:v h264_nvenc -preset p4 -rc vbr -cq 23 -b:v 0 -pix_fmt yuv420p -c:a aac -movflags +faststart output.mp4
Extract audio
Keep only the audio as AAC/M4A, MP3, WAV, FLAC or Opus.
ffmpeg -hide_banner -nostdin -y -i input.mov -vn -c:a aac -b:a 192k output.m4a
Replace an audio segment
Swap the audio between a start and end time for a replacement file. A safe atrim/asetpts/adelay/concat graph preserves everything else.
ffmpeg -hide_banner -nostdin -y -i input.mov -i new.m4a -filter_complex "[1:a]adelay=30000:all=1[rep];[0:a]atrim=0:30,asetpts=N/SR/TB[pre];[0:a]atrim=45,asetpts=N/SR/TB[post];[pre][rep][post]concat=n=3:v=0:a=1[out]" -map 0:v -map "[out]" -c:v copy -c:a aac output.mov
